Musical Notes of Fables and Fairy Tales Soar on the Wings of Imagination

The Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Band will present an assortment of band masterpieces inspired by fairy tales, legend and biblical epic. Through vivid and enchanting musical narratives, music aficionados will embark on a journey through an enthralling realm of endless imagination.

Highlights include Daniel’s adaptation of Prokofiev's beloved children’s favourite Peter and the Wolf, brought to life with live narration by radio personality Eunice Chow; a wind interpretation of Dukas’s whimsical and spirited The Sorcerer's Apprentice; A powerful rendition of the Chinese heroic legend Hou Yi Shooting the Sun; the timeless biblical epic Noah's Ark; and a nostalgic medley of music from the cinematic classic The Wizard of Oz.
